Laughing is Essential

Funny how I find it so essential to laugh daily. I have moved to another company recently and I was utterly bewildered on how they stay so prim and proper all day. Seems like the world had come to an end and no one even dare to say anything out loud! Well compared to what I’m used to, where people seems to be gay all the time, jokes were everywhere (not to mention the chairs as well), all were having fun while working, laughing at each others bloopers and even the guards are laughing. Haven’t they (my new office mates) heard that laughing is the best medicine and it can make you look younger or the phrase “It takes 43 muscles to frown and only 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.” Hahahaha… One time I threw a joke at the office (new one) and no one even laughed! I was running out of breath already laughing but all I get is "uhuh" reaction. It was like a scene in an anime where the main character said something funny but the reaction he gets is a "cricket" sound. lol! I mean, what are they??? Can you even call them people??? Haha.

I’ve been finding ways to laugh since I transferred to a new company. I am not used to being silent while working so I looked for ways that would make me laugh at the same time make me feel comfortable on what I am doing or where I am. Also, laughing makes me feel younger. I can remember my bestfriend's mom was always throwing jokes whenever I see her and she never look any older when I saw her last week, and I said to myself "I would never stop laughing."

You may call it "Jologs" or "Corny" but Papa Jack and Tambalan are the closest I can get to feel at home, like I was with my previous office. Papa Jack's schedule is every weekday at 9:00 PM, he brightens my day making jokes all the time at the same time learning from the advises he gives every night with TLC. At 2:00 AM the show ends and my bliss ends too but at around 6:00 AM I'll hear Chris Tsuper on the radio and it uplifts me as Tambalan will be on soon! The hilarious duo never fail to make me laugh, they

actually gives serious advises and turn it into something funny. I had to say, Papa Jack and Tambalan are really entertaining, and all the DJs never run out of witty comments which makes it more hilarious. I can remember Nicole mentioned "that laughter is the common language of all people all over the world" and I can agree to that.

I feel the urge of talking to someone non-stop when I fail to listen to these (Papa Jack and Tambalan) programs. Sometimes I have to meet my old friends just to share how was my day, throw some jokes and of course ask them how they are. If some people go to comedy bars to laugh, well my laughter is just a click away...

"We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stopped playing. "You have to laugh and find humor every day. You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die." ~ Rose

losing is never easy

It has been a while after my last blog. While I was gone a lot things happened, I tried learning Spanish Language, tried looking for a House, new job, new gig, new everything. Now I am trying to lose weight and I am not good at it. lol.

There's this pill that is available over the counter at a drugstore that claims can help someone lose 10lbs in just a week. The "excited me" tried it and it did work for a while but then again the program doesn't fit me. It made me feel like a looser at the end of the day as it follows the 7 day detox diet.

7 day detox diet was proven to cleanse and help lose weight (upto 17lbs)during the program. I feel lighter and I feel energized but as the day goes by I am looking for something to satisfy my tongue. This is the reason I tried another program-the 1000 calorie diet.

The 1000 calorie diet idea came from this site (http://www.changingshape.com/dietandnutrition/mealplans/plans/1000-calorie-diet-plan.php). It worked just fine for me, not just it satisfies my stomach but it doesn't provoke my brain to look for more.

Now, It's been a month since I decided to lose weight and the results were amazing. I am now satisfied with 1/2 cup of rice, 1 big meal a day and never have I tried to sip soda- not once. I also found out that my body functions better when I eat more fiber and intake more water.

I could say it's never too late to live a healthy life :D I'll share some of my recipes and tips next time. Ciao!
